Coach House

Coach House

The project is remodeling of an existing two-storey masonry construction dwelling in north London. The rear of the upper ground floor, which contains living room and kitchen in one space, opens out to a small terrace that is connected to a rear garden below. The alteration is to remove the existing sliding folding doors and windows that form the rear of the upper ground floor, and extend the overall space by replacing it with new sliding folding doors that span the width of the terrace. It also involved extensive bespoke remodeling of the interiors that include construction of two large sliding skylights, one of which is along the wall of the living room and the other, above the existing stairs that lead to the lower ground floor, which prior to the alterations received no daylight.
